uPVC Doors & Locks
UPVC Doors and Frames are bespoke manufactured to suit an individual House this is done in a Factory using details that you have supplied them, such as Colour and Style of Door.
There is a Limited Choice of Styles and Colours, the main Colours for Hardware are Chrome, Brass, Satin, Black or White, The Factory will choose the make of the Locking Mechanism depending on how you want the Door to Lock and Unlock. Using a Split Spindle you can have a Yale Lock type locking action. Composite Doors are better suited for Disability Purposes than Upvc Doors however discuss your needs with your Installer.
The colours of the uPVC are generally White, Brown, and Grey some manufacturers can supply custom colours. you can also choose the have a different Colour on the Inside of the Door than the Outside.

Composite Doors & Locks
Composite doors are manufactured with different components to provide a solid door that is strong, and durable, and keeps the cold from outside being transmitted through the door. It has many components of the uPVC Doors such as multi-point locking systems, handles, euro cylinders & hinges. The frames for these doors may be made out of plastic or wood.
You can choose the design and colour to look the same as the one you are replacing or a novel modern design. Always choose to have adjustable hinges so that if the door needs fine-tuning in the future it fits better and can be done easily.
Again it is always better to use a local installer to get better service in the future, should it be needed.
Beware of long guarantees of say 10 years that exclude locking systems or hinges, as these items are more likely to wear.
